APPLICATION FOR SELECTION TO MEDICAL & ALLIED DEGREE COURSES

Eligibility:
The following categories of candidates shall be eligible for selection against State reserved seats for Technical and Professional Courses.
Category I: Candidates belonging to Indigenous inhabitant Scheduled Tribes of Nagaland as notified by the State Government from time to time.
Category II: Candidates belonging to recognized Backward Tribes of Nagaland as notified by the Government from time to time.

Category III
:
(a) Candidates belonging to non-local indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland.
(b) Children of non-local State Government employees and children of All India Service officers borne on Nagaland cadre.

Candidates are also required to fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for appearing Nagaland State Entrance Examination (NSEE) 2016 and hence for selection.

(i) Candidate must have passed HSSLC/10+2 or equivalent examination from any Board/University recognized by the Government of India, and must have secured pass-marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology and English.

The candidates also must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks (for ST/SC) and 50% marks (for general candidates) taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology at the qualifying examination of 10+2 or equivalent examination.

(ii) Candidates who have appeared HSSLC/10+2 examination during 2016 and are awaiting result of the same are eligible to appear NSEE 2016 in the case of such candidates, they are required to submit all necessary documents such as mark-sheets etc within the stipulated time period set by the Department and fulfill all criteria stated above.

(iii) He/she has completed or will complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of entrance examination taken (i.e. 2016).

(iv) The upper age limit for candidates seeking selection/admission is 25 years of age as on 31st December of the year of entrance examination this upper age limit shall be relaxed for a period of 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC.

(v) He/she is mentally sound and bears a good moral character.
(vi) A candidate who has already been selected and nominated/sponsored by the State Government for any study course in the past shall NOT be eligible for selection

Instructions to candidates:

(i) Application duly filled in the prescribed format is to be submitted to:-
The Director,
Directorate of Technical Education (below Nagaland Civil Secretariat Complex, Thizami):
Kohima, Nagaland: PIN: 797 004

(ii) Fill the Application form strictly as per direction given.
(iii) Incomplete application forms shall be summarily rejected.

(iv) Attach self-attested photo copies of the following documents along with the application form:
(a) Admit Card of HSLC Examination
(b) Admit Card of 10+2/ HSSLC or equivalent examination
(c) Mark-sheet of 10+2/HSSLC or equivalent examination (if result already declared)

(d) Candidates whose 10+2/HSSLC or equivalent examination result is awaited may submit their mark-sheets after declaration of result. Candidates should write his/her NSEE Roll Number at the top of the said mark-sheet and submit the same to the Office of the Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland, Kohima.

(e) Candidates who fail to submit their HSSLC or equivalent exam mark-sheets within the specified time period shall not be considered for selection.

(v) 3 (three) copies of recent passport size photograph with name written on the back of the photographs one of which is to be pasted on the application form.

(vi) Furnish, whichever is applicable, along with application form:
(a) Indigenous Inhabitant of Nagaland Certificate
(b) Scheduled Tribe (ST) Certificate
(c) Backward Tribe Certificate

(d) Certificate from Head of the Department specifying the year and the date of the father/mother joining service in Nagaland in case of children of non-local State Govt. employees/All India Service Officers borne on Nagaland Cadre.

(vii) Downloaded form should be printed on A4-size White Paper before filling it up. An amount of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred) only in cash should be paid along with the filled up application.

(viii) Candidates should take extra care while filling in the names of the courses in order of their preference (at item No. 10 of the application form). Options/preferences once exercised and submitted cannot be changed.

The last date for receipt of application forms whether by hand or post: 30 April 2016.

    1. Previous year it was 45. Its not constant but changes also won’t be great just few seats.

  6. When is the last date to apply for the NSEE-II?

  7. Are the students who got 300 above in NSEE-1 will be selected for medical courses?

  8. A total confusion we the students are facing this year. Is the state going to follow last year’s procedure and conduct the exam for the remaining Medical seat in Nsee2 or the state going to re-conduct? Because this year also only 23 candidate crossed the required cut off for Mbbs and Bds?

    1. The NEET ordinance is now 100% implemented.

  9. When nbse is going to conduct the exams for MBBS and BDS 2016? Kindly confirm the dates as our state is getting late for the said course. As per HTE notification in newspaper on 11/52016 issue it was clear that nsee 16 which was held on may 12 was purely for agri and allied courses. Wwaiting for your notification in newspaper.

  10. In order of S.C no state entrance for MBBS/BDS. But what about BHMS, B.Sc veterinary and pharmacy? Please let me know at the earliest.

  11. As reference to the. Nagaland post dated 9th may 2016 there is a confusion where it was said that MBBS and BDS seats that selection would be depend on the outcome of the judgement SUPREME COURT of India. Any solution or idea about this?

  12. How many seats are reserved for MBBS , B.V Sc & A.H and BSc. Agri courses?
